AWE 700S 997 TTurbo in house project

AWE have been hard at work testing some reliable performance upgrades for the Porsche 997TT platform. They have completed thier exhaust manifolds (headers) for the 997TT, and saw gains of 8 wheel horsepower, or ~10 HP at the crank. Dyno sheet below including GIAC chip and an in-house built A.W.E. Tuning performance exhaust system:

Last week AWE bolted on some new larger AWE VTG turbos. Utilizing a brand new proprietary GIAC development file at 1.1 bar boost we saw an additional 35 wheel HP on pump gas, putting the car at 553 wheel HP, and they've just starting with the tuning. Here's a dyno showing the above set up with the addition of the AWE VTG turbos. It's important to note a few items - These turbos maintain Porsche's VTG technology, and are a direct plug and play modification.

Also note that all our testing is being done on PUMP gas, and that AWE prefer to look at WHEEL horsepower numbers as crank numbers can vary substantially depending on the baseline chosen to determine the crank HP correction factor.
Project 700S is a straight forward project - AWE are looking to hit 700 crank horsepower on pump gas for Street cars. Awe are already making 53 wheel horsepower more than our popular 996TT Porsche K24 kit put out on pump gas. Intercoolers will be examined, and GIAC is currently rewriting the software program to take full advantage of the AWE VTG turbos. The current program only makes 1.1 bar, our new proprietary GIAC software program will push boost to 1.4 bar at higher rpms, as well as increasing the torque figures.
We expect great gains across the board from this setup once the hardware and software tuning is finalized. We'll keep you posted with new dyno sheets as AWE continue thier development work with GIAC.
All this power has forced AWE to re-examine the factory suspension and brakes. Luckily, AWE have direct relationships with all the tops names, and work directly with their engineering departments on Project 700S. Because of AWE's great success with the brand on the 996TT platform, a Moton Clubsport coilover suspension was chosen for the car and installed two weeks ago - as far as we know, and according to Moton, the first in the US on a 997TT. Specialty parts to mate this kit to the 997TT were designed and machined in house, and the factory PASM system has been turned off via the Porsche PIWIS scantool. AWE's Motons are coupled with H&R springs, a natural choice given thier 9 year partnership with H&R.

While the stock brakes on the 997TT are some of the best on the market today, AWE wanted more. AWE prefer Brembo on Porsche cars, as nothing beats the pedal feel of these kits. Looking for the ultimate deceleration upgrade, AWE went a step further beyond the standard Brembo GT kits and installed the GTR brake kit front and rear.
